In 1985, he joined the faculty of the Falmouth Art Guild. The following year he was awarded Best Abstract Painting in the Town of Barnstable Artists’ Show. Before founding Aurora Enterprises, a landscape design service in 1988, he worked as a chef in several fine restaurants.
